The Matrix movie is often touted as one of the best sci-fi/ action movies to emerge from the 1990s following its box office smashing sales and subsequent DVD sell out status.
To commemorate all the joy of this exhilarating creation of the co directing Wachowski brothers, enter The Matrix Movie 10th Anniversary Bluray Edition.
The story itself is set in the not too distant future where a young software techie/ computer hacker Neo (Keanu Reeves) sits alone at home waiting for a sign from his computer monitor – from who or what he doesn’t know.
One night, his prayers are answered when a mysterious slick woman named Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) seeks him out to introduce him to the person he has been waiting for: Morpheus (Lawrence Fishburne). As a kind of messiah, Morpheus introduces Neo to the truth behind the dark feelings he’s had all his life: “You’ve felt it for your entire life, that there is something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad”.
